I like comedy people. Too much? Impossible. 23, aspiring comedy writer, biding my time in school and watching excessive amounts of television.

Rooting for other people’s failure does get in the way of your success. And you want to try to avoid being a person who’s never full. You know, who’s never filled up, who can’t be satisfied. The way to do that, I think, is to rejoice in other people’s victories.

"Don’t become something just because someone else wants you to, or because it’s easy; you won’t be happy. You have to do what you really really really really want to do, even if it scares the shit out of you."

"Fuckers, don’t laugh! You motherfuckers."

"Hi! I’m Amy Poehler, and right now we’re shooting a cover which every book needs to have, apparently… I’ve been told." (x)

There are people you have crushes on because they’re physically attractive, and there are people you just have comedy crushes on, and they’re constantly intersecting. I had comedy crushes on men and women at that theater. And I think it’s fair to say that everyone who meets Amy has a crush on her.

“When I was on SNL, Saturday night was my favorite night, now that I’m not on the show, it makes me sad.” - Kristen Wiig

"When I was in high school I was a really huge ‘SNL’ fan. I remember the cast around the time I started watching it - Will Ferrell, Ana Gasteyer, Molly Shannon, Cheri O’Teri, Tracy Morgan. I did research to find out how people got on the show. Their bios always said they came from an improv team, so I started taking classes." - Aubrey Plaza

"Since there have been men and women, there have been funny women. F***ing idiot-ass men keep saying that women aren’t funny, It makes me crazy. I find it disgusting and offensive every time.’
